These distinctive almond-shaped olives have a deep, smokey flavour with fruity wine notes. Kalamata olives are ideally between an eggplant purple to black colour. Their strong flavour and firm flesh make them ideal for use in cooking. Kalamata olives derive their name from the region in Greece where they are cultivated.
